I can't even believe summer is gonna be wrapping up her soon! It's flown by, but we did get to get away last weekend and go to Utah for a lil trip. This is something we always did growing up, and my kids seemed to love it just as much as I did as a kid!

Scout is 1!!!
I can't believe it's been a year since we brought this darling little girl home with us. Scout has been such a sweet baby and has been such a light in our lives. For the 1st year of her life she has been such a happy and content baby... now that she has turned 1 we are seeing the diva coming out! I remember perfectly well cuddling her in bed with me the 1st night in the hospital, and listening to her little girly sighs. She is absolutly the princess of our home!

And who does Scout look like...
So when Scout was born I couldn't quite figure out who she looked like. I didn't really see any resemblance to anyone until my dad came in to hold her. He held her face up to his for a pic and I could tell she looked like him. I also could see my sister Cassie in her at times(especially her feet, they are huge!). Nash is Randall thru and thru, so I just expected her to come out looking like that too. Nahhh.. this girl is Murdoch!! My family has always said that she is a spitting image of me especially as a baby. I haven't been able to really see that until I took these pics of her the other day. I saw them and had an immediate flash back to a baby pic of myself.
You can judge for yourself, but she does look like her Mom...
Me around 7 months old
Pretty sure there's no debate, she's her mama's girl! And I honestly adore her. She is really a happy girl, and so easy to make smile. I thought that the craziness of Nash was because he's a boy, but I now think it's just my kids! Scout can be a tad bit psycho and is pretty busy! She's now pulling herself up on everything, and even climbed up the stairs the other night. She is crazy over Justin and Nash too. She loves to play wild with them. She is pretty much the princess at our house. We love this little girl! Friday, January 7, 2011
Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam!
Do I really have a child old enough for Primary! Nash is officially a Sunbeam, I totally cried last Sunday when he went. I peeked my head in to see how he was doing, and he was just sitting there like a little man with his arms folded. First of all I was in complete shock because it's a rare occasion Nash ever sits, and 2nd he's so grown up. I didn't seem that long ago I was rocking him during church.
Doesn't he look handsome? Thanks to Grandma Randall we always have a new wardrobe of Church clothes for the first of the year! The lady has a talent in this department and hooks us up every Christmas!
Scoutie Poutie getting so big! She's getting some serious rolls... aw I LOVE 'em!
I'm holding back the tears in this pic if you can't tell!
AND CHRISTMAS.... Even though I caught Nash PEEING on the Christmas tree, Santa brought him everything he asked for and more(he told me it was too cold to go outside)! All he wanted was a cowboy hat and boots like Woody's. He was amazed that Santa knew Woody and brought them for him, but he could not get over that Santa ate the cookies. He just stared at the plate in complete amazement. It made Christmas so much fun this year to see how magical it was for Nash.
Nash was so into it, he made Justin help him build a Christmas tent by the tree and tell him stories all about Santa. Every time I would try to go in Nash would yell... "GET OUT mom... Dad's my best friend, you not my best friend, BOYS ONLY!" He's only 3, and I'm already THAT not so cool annoying Mom.
In all our holidays and New Year were great. We have so much to be thankful for this last year. Mostly for our family and friends who have been there for us through all life has thrown our way. We have learned a lot and are pretty ready for a New Year. Hope all of your had great holidays and are off to a FAB 2011!
